Hot on the heels of word that the Motorola Atrix 4G is about to get its Gingerbread “soak” test, we’ve now learned that the Motorola Droid X is about to get a soak of its own.

Motorola’s asking for a few thousand testers. MFN members are being contacted and asked to complete a survey, after which they may be accepted into the beta. We’re not sure if it’s going to be the Gingerbread update, but we’ve got a feeling that it will be. Here’s the survey intro:
